A Journey for Life

I was probably the worst teenager in the world.

Well, maybe not in the whole world – but possibly in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. At least that’s how I feel sometimes now looking back. I was selfish in my actions, naive, stubborn, and had a rebellious streak a mile wide. Oh, how I did NOT like to be told what to do. I wanted to do what I wanted to do. Today is the Day of Salvation

Today is the day of salvation
Why is this hard to believe
Our culture has put man before God
A trick that’s designed to deceive
So many will fall to the pressure
Don’t push me – It’s my life to live
I can’t be as bad as you tell me
I’ve done nothing for Him to forgive
The message is all you can tell them
The Truth is all you can say
The Spirit is what will convict them
Confession’s required this day
Belief is our confirmation
Christ died and defeated the grave
A gift that’s beyond understanding
A knowledge our soul has been saved

Poor little baby…what she thought was a refreshing drink turned out to be something truly horrible. It wasn’t at all what it seemed to be.
